Yog Vashisht

The word “Yoga” is used in the title of this work in its generic sense. It is known by the name Jnana Vasishtham also. Rishi Valmiki, the author of the Ramayana, compiled this remarkable book. He related the whole of Yoga Vasishtha to Rishi Bharadwaja as it passed between Sri Rama and sage Vasishtha

Truly you are fit to receive that enlightening knowledge that can save one from repeated cycles of birth and death,” said Sage Vasishta.

The Yoga Vasishta is among the foremost texts which explain how one can attain liberation, moksha, salvation, and nirvana while still being involved in Samsara

His teachings are divided into six parts: dispassion, qualifications of the seeker, creation, existence, dissolution, and liberation.
